Spider broke and knocked lumps out of the back of the tub and bottom of the condenser. It would have been BER with new parts (if available) but I had a slightly older washer dryer for spares so I’m doing the job with those. I noticed the condenser on the donor machine is slightly different to the original one. In particular there is one less hose than on the WD62. This is a very thin hose which goes from the soap dispenser to the fan motor mounting plate. Can anyone tell me the purpose of this hose and whether the dryer will still work OK without it?

It will work fine without that hose. Its supposed to be a vent hose.

Thanks Jim, next time I do one of these I will order new O rings for the condenser and the elbow fitting for the sump hose, both of which leaked initially. 😡

Funny thing is the condensor kit is still listed on the latest Partfinder disc and yet it has come up as NLA/obsolete for well over 12 months on Masterpart and others. 😕

Usually always DEBHOR the sump elbow seal. 😉

The condenser O ring is still available, C00250383. Not sure about the sump elbow one but it might be C00149782.
