i dont fix ovens but i am trying to do a favour for a friend, the fan elemant is away but i cant get the 4 philips screws out which areholding a plats on under which is the fan element.
any tips for removing these screws please.
– spray with wd40.
– tap them with a chissel and hammer if rusted in.
– Basically just swearing and sweat will get em out.Its a rarity that i have to do this but if they’re all rusted in , and especially if they’re rounding off , i’ll pull the oven out , rear panel off and then give them a rap from the back to loosen them up.
Soemtimes , if you can get a couple out , you can wiggle the back plate to break the rust and free them up.
