    Hi
Our Hoover HFA29K has lost temp control and is freezing everything in the fridge compartment.

I’ve tried turning the thermostat right down but to no avail.

Is there a relatively straight forward and not too expensive repair that I can make myself?

Also is this a common fault and if fixed is it likely to fail again?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Most likely either the fridge thermistor or the control PCB

    Obviously I can’t guarantee it but, it’s a fair bet. 😉

if it helps ive recently replaced 2 hoover frost free f/f in the last month one that a hoover engineer has put down to a module (£160+ labour) and one that an indie refrigeration engineer has written off – module – again. no quote for spares/labour on that one tho!

also if it helps – hoovers customer service state they apparently dont have any “design faults” on their appliances – therefore its always user error!!!!
