i posted about this about april time. just got back to looking at it.

    problem. not drying clothes!!!!!

thermostats at back of machine ok- continuity.
    heater elements resistance ok.
door stat ok, but not tested.

Clamp meter fitted to mains wire when testing and current measurements taken .

water tray in or out makes no difference at all, push in and water fill light doesnt come on and makes no difference to operation of machine.

    testing on sensor dry……….

11.4 amps for 20 or so seconds then 0.5 amps for about 20 seconds. then repeats itself. proves heaters and stats working i would say in my experience.

    on timed dry……

6 amps only, not differing at all, so only one leg of the heater is working.

i have no wiring diagram or anything to help me out.

anyone got any ideas as to what i should be looking at next.

many thanks in anticipation and if you need a helping hand with your pressure washer/steam cleaner feel free to ask as this is my speciality. service engineer high pessure cleaning equipment, moved on from the domestic cleaning equipment years ago

All timed heat programmes are low heat only. 😉

    Programme Selections
The selector switch has twelve positions.
Position ‘0’ is the Off position and isolates the control from the mains supply, the other positions
    have the following functions.
    Programme Descriptions:-
    0 Switch OFF position
1 Cottons (Full Heat) Auto Dry Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
2 Cottons (Full Heat) Auto Damp Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
3 Cottons (Full Heat) Auto Iron Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
4 Synthetics (Low Heat) Auto Dry Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
5 Synthetics (Low Heat) Auto Damp Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
6 Synthetics (Low Heat) Auto Iron Max. 3 Hours 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
7 40 Minutes Timed Dry (Half Heat) 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
8 30 Minutes Timed Dry (Half Heat) 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
9 20 Minutes Timed Dry (Half Heat) 8 – 30 minutes Cool Tumble
10 Airing 20 minutes No Heat
11 Easy Care 7 minutes Heat Cool Tumble

And I didn’t know that until I looked at the manual. 😳
