I had a call to the above dishwasher.

The machine was filling for about 5 seconds then beeping and flashing 7 times as it switched to drain.

After checking the pressure switch in the sump, the element and blockages in the sump hose the machine then filled and washed for about 10 seconds and again beeped and the start LED flashed 7 times.

Can anyone tell me if the 7 flashes relate to a particular fault on this as I can’t find it in the UKwhitegoods book.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

F7. 7 Flashes. Flow meter failure. Flow meter defect. Water inlet valve defect or water inlet hose blocked

    Thanks martin,

I don’t think this machine has a flow meter, it uses the pressure switch mounted in the right side of the sump. The one in the machine isn’t gunged up and the=he machine seems to fill to level and start to wash which I would have thought indicates it’s working.

The machine fill which suggests the inlet valve is OK.

    Any other ideas?

Yes it does…… Bad contacts at pcb on fill chamber is a very common problem, failed reed switch as well.

    Thanks Penguin,

Is the fill chamber on this one behind the left side panel?

    Which reed switch?

LH panel off, little pcb lower down has the reed switch soldered to it. The magnet on the water wheel causes the switch to open and close as it rotates past it; the computer counts the pulses generated. No pulses = F7.
