    Hello all,

    I am a new to this site but would appreciate any advice available, I have a Zanussi ZWD1680W (washer dryer) which I have owned for more than 4 years now, yesterday 5 minutes after switching the machine on there was a pop from behind the machine and this also caused the sockets MCB to trip.

    I checked the fuse on the plug this was ok, I removed the top panel and checked for voltage coming in which was present and then switched on the machine and it came on as normal, replaced covers and used machine with no problems.

    But same thing again today after approximately 5 minutes use the machine tripped the sockets and did so several times after.

    Does anyone have any experience of this fault or any ideas on what could be causing the MCB to trip.

    Heater comes on after about 5 minutes/
