user says that he has to press the reset button too often. during normal use he sets time say for 40mins and comes back to clothes not dry. reset button tripped. switches on again for similar time and the dryer works perfectly. when i was there i switched it on and very soon afterwards the heater cover was too hot to touch and the top cover was hot too. reset button did not trip. ps no clothes in. the dryer is in a small room but seemingly adequate ventilation. so is it, air flow, reset button or stats??
    thanks

    CHANGE HEATER AND STATS..
also check rear fan bolt is tight, dont tend to get to much bother from these, … if wanting to kepp repairs to minimum try changing stats 1st

oh and I also just remembered, if the door is opened whilst dryer is heating this can also cause the toc to pop out. So if customer is checking to see if clothes are dry before its finished this could be the problem, it must be left to tumble cool. Its because when you open door the ement no longer has air being blown over it and because of the way these elements sit on the back plate the heat quickly disperses over the plate and causes the toc to pop out.

i had this once and it turned out to be the door was distorted so much that the switch operating pin caused intermittent operation thus tripping the toc
i allso had one where the capacitor was weak so it again caused intermitent stopping on reversing with same result
