    The Object Of Network DASA

To create a co-ordinated network of DASA members to cover service repairs to the following:

    a) Gas cooking & tumble driers
    b) Refrigeration
    c) Other white goods

We, as an association, are in decline. The reasons for this are many, and this vehicle is aimed at increasing DASA membership, returning ex-DASA members to the fold and producing much needed revenue for DASA.
Accordingly your interest and details are required to produce a presentation for the October AGM. If you think DASA already has these details please think again. Many of you change email address/phone number etc, and don’t tell DASA. If you are interested in this idea, provide all the information that you can, and book a place at the AGM where a presentation will be made.

Time is of the essence and accuracy even more so. Please pay attention to the postcodes you can cover on a next day service, a 2-day service and a 3-day service. It will be assumed that all postcodes on a one-day service, are inclusive to the 3-day service and respectively the 2-day to 3-day. You must (when the time arrives) be able to guarantee your service level. Why, will be explained at the AGM. If you are not a DASA member you can join and details are available on the DASA website: http://www.dasa.org.uk

Only members of DASA will be eligible to join this network and there is time for you to do so. As a non-member of DASA you would be allowed to attend open forum at the AGM in October, details from the DASA office, phone number available on the website.

You may or may not have seen the interview peice on the front page earlier, its worth a read in my opinion, with some more info on this new network.

Please, I’ve been asked, that if anyone has any questions regarding the network to mail questions@network-dasa.co.uk or to post here and they will be answered if at all possible.

The more feedback and input that we put in the better it will be for *US* at the end of the day. I know that there are a lot of different opinions on what or how we should work so make them, this is the time and the place even if you’ve never posted or mailed before, now is the time to do so. Anything you want to see happen, the way you work, tips, thoughts, it’s all relevant and useful.

The team is looking for as much feedback as they can get from you guys and girls, not anyone else, service people, the people on the ground doing the work! I am assured that all mails will be treated with the strictest confidence ( I can attest to that, I was trying to get more info yesterday to no avail 😉 ) so there’s nothing to fear from dropping a lin or two to them. And, of course, in here if you’ve chosen to hide your email address which is the default setting, you are anonymous anyway.

So if you have something to say, then say it, there’s no use moaning about it later!

    K.

To help the smaller guys out could it be possible that a bigger company help out the one man bands with the admin etc if they were both in the same region, ie split the region up to suit all parties in that region and so everyone is helping each other and giving better coverage of that region.

It might also help with holidays and sickness cover.
