    Zanussi FJ1295.
    Model 914787016
    Type P6297236

When started at “C” it fills but then just sits there; the drum doesn’t turn and the programmer doesn’t advance (SWMBO tells me that sometimes the programmer advances normally but the drum doesn’t turn until the programmer pumps-out and gets to “D”)
If started at “D” it all seems to work OK.

An additional long-standing fault is that the pump runs for a very long time, even when the drum is empty and the water has long been pumped out.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions where to start – otherwise I’ll just check the pressure switches, pipes and heater.

Where can I find a diagram of the internals and part numbers?

Check the resistance of the hot water valve solenoid. I’m not sure about your model but on some machines they fill for a while with cold then continue filling with hot.You could try filling the machine with it set to D then move it right round to C to see if it completes the wash that way. It could be the heater but then I would expect it to stick on all the washes.
