Whirlpool 8361: 8 years old starts to make more noise on spin and is beginning to walk out of the kitchen.
Investigation of the suspension legs show them to feel quite free. This is wrong they should feel very stiff. On this machine they will wear and develop a free feel, they are a plastic inner slider which slides inside a metal ouer sleeve. One can bodge these as a short term fix by dimpling the outer metal sleeve to increase the friction to prove a point.
So if your machine seems to rotate quite easilly and isn’t making horrible graunching noises, but is bouncing about a lot, try the suspension legs.
