Almost all parts for this machine are obsolete. Gearbox has not been available for some years now.
Last published price for the power unit ( gearbox ) was £282 ex vat. 😯
About all you can get is a clutch, a pattern copy of the pump and very little else. 😥
This type of top loader has been out of production for over ten years now.

Don’t recognise 1050 as a Hotpoint top loader model number, gearbox has been basically the same for donkeys years.
1050 was the spin speed. Model numbers used to begin with 15** then changed to 96**
Is the part listed at Masterpart just the gearbox, a 151214. If so then that has nothing to do with any leaks. It is just the gearbox without any seals, chassis, drive tripod etc.
The only real changes over the last 25 years were in the controls, the mechanics hardly changed at all.
Most of the leaks from the top of the gearbox/power unit area were from the bellows seal. The top of the alloy support tube rots away just like alloy drum supports do in front loaders. The bellows seal may still be available but is unlikely to cure a leak if the top of the drum support has corroded.
If you are in a soft water area then the support tube will like as not be corroded on any Hotpoint top loader now, given that it will be at least 11 or 12 years old at the least.

No point changing the bellows seal , it will be the top of the support tube that has rotted away.
What I am really trying to say is, walk away from this, great machine in its day but the complete lack of most spares and the possibility of only being able to stop the leak with glue or sealant will mean a very suspect repair .
Jim.
