i dont think it is as it seems to be on constant defrost ,their is a bubbling sound as the the water is circulating continually

If the compressor is running it’s because the thermostat or electronic thermostat is asking to run,ie it switches the compressor on.Calibration is not an issue when it is running and not freezing,if it were running and freezing food in the refrigerator or not working at all then the thermostat woulkd be worth looking at but not in this case.
Therefore if it’s running it should be cooling,if it’s not cooling it’s almost certainly as Dales advised you is loss of refrigerant, could also be system blockage ,unlikely, or poor compressor output also unlikely.August 21, 2009 at 9:32 pm #295191spimps

Please don’t double post,we are old and confused and find it difficult to cope 😕

I’ve had a few of these over 12 months or so, mostly weak pumping compressors (they do tend to make a characteristic gurgling from fridge section as if short of gas, but usually they’re not). If you’re really unlucky the compressor oil will overheat, “crack” and block the system – very difficult to clear

I did agency work for Beko a few years ago and avoid them now and do very few so Johnsdad is probably on the money.
