Mod no 22213 have called to fit part no 6203429 only to find the new connections bear no relation to the old ones ,no comparison sheet in the box .
any one have any info laying around ?

Sorry Lawrence, looked everywhere as I have fitted several of these to Creda/Hotpoint ones. They all had a leaflet in the box.
Checked the manuals and no reference there either. 😥
I could open up my own Creda hob if you are really desperate, I did fit one to that a few years back.

Hi Lawrence, I did pop the hob up and take a couple of pics before I went back out this lunchtime.
Not sure if the wiring colours will be the same but there are only two external connections on mine.
One is the black wire that is linked to the other three rings and one is a purple feed.
I will e-mail you the pics and you may be able to suss it out from there. Will try and dig out a manual if I can as well.

Can you not trace it through with a meter?
They changed the orientation of the circuits through the connection block. One set of terminals is normally closed and this is the live circuit, the other pair is normally O/C and is the switch for the “Hob Hot” light.Lawrence PM me with your email address as I have a copy of the connections, not sure if its the same as what you need but it should help you to work out how to connect it.

I am just ordering one of these 6203429 for a job so I will check to what all the fuss is about and see if there is an info sheet included 😉

did it yesterday ,once I knew where the live feed went it was okay (thanks for the sheet Mal).
It was one of those jobs where the customer was on your shoulder and his wife had been cooking prior to me arriving so it was all a bit tricky ,however second time no wife and husband watching telly in the other room so I could actually think !

Ok one arrived, connection diagram included 😀 only problem diag. is for a “Eika” manufactured type, ring supplied is an E.G.O 👿 I presume yours was this type Lawrence?
I tryed to contact Indesit to see if they could supply an updated diagram.
7 phone calls later 👿 I kept being told this is the wrong dept. please ring this no. etc.
Finally I made a poor girl listen to what I was asking for 😥 where upon she had great enjoyment in advising me that Indesit do not give out wiring diagrams 😯 When I pointed out that the element had come with a leaflet albeit the wrong one, she still argued black and white that diagrams were not supplied by Indesit.
I read her the leaflet no out and asked her to speak to her superiors about it and give me a reply by email. I wonder if I will get one?
