we recently bought a miele tumble dryer and when we use it… it smells like burning rubber…last year we bought a bosch tumble dryer and it had the same problem..after a year of arguments we managed to return the machine but bosch would never admit to the problem..
with the bosch I discovered that the problem was the drive belt for the drum… they changed the drive belt but it still smelled of burning rubber…so this time I bought miele..thinking that if I paid more money there wouldn’t be a problem…silly me..still have an old miele tumble dryer (17 years old)..it still works and has never smelled..everybody must be buying their drive belts from china!!! does anybody else have a similar problem ? if we can get enough people together with the same problem we can force them to change the drive belts…perhaps made in europe…sunrise!!
