    Does that mean the recipient has not looked at their e-mail since the message was sent?

    They may have chosen not to receive email notification of PMs in which case they will only know if they visit the site. If they have a pop-up blocker they might still not notice unless they look at the forum menus.

    I could be wrong but I thought messages in the outbox are waiting to be sent. Once sent they go into the sentbox.

    They stay in the outbox until they have been read by the recipient.

    Cheers. That’s a useful way to see when one’s been read. I was assuming it worked the same way as email does.
