WM1510W. Module was blown, tacho coil was open circuit and tacho wires had been rubbing on the motor socket bracket. I fitted a secondhand motor and module and the machine now works fine. When I first tried it with the replacements parts, what looked like smoke came from the module for the first few seconds. The module had been stored in a cupboard in my house so should not have been damp.
A couple of years ago I went to a similar machine where the same thing happened. That time the customer saw the smoke and pretty much ordered me off the premises before I could investigate the cause. I kept the new module and didn’t charge for my time so I still have that board in stock. This time, the smoke dispersed and I ran the machine for a further 20 minutes without any problem. I wondered if others have experienced this?

Yep, I remember that.smokin’Beko 😆
Funny enough had same thing a few months back. Called out to look at smoking Beko. Cannot remember what transpired but I know I had it fixed within an hour and charged a reasonable sum. It was the resistor and I remember doing something with a soldering iron. I also know from my diary I had a second hand module with me and I always carry a 5.6k/7W, so maybe it was one of those?
Mike.
Ah, I had forgotten about your one, Mike. Perhaps that’s the one I used this time. As far as I recall the last one in 2006, the new board from Connect also smoked and the machine was scrapped, hence I still have that board.
