Hi All, I hope you can help. I have an LD WM1460FHD and the drum will not turn. All the pretty lights and buzzers work as expected and the display throws up no error code. If I pull the back off I can start the drum moving under its own power with a fingertip but as soon as it tries to reverse direction it stops. As this is a direct drive drum there is no capacitor that I would normally expect to be the problem so I am left with a few options. Thermistor but I would expect the drum not to turn under fingertip starting, ditto sensor, as there is no smell or burning from the motor all I can think is that it is the PCB . Can anybody think of anything else or should I bite the bullet of a new PCB?
Yes, it is the price that concerns me especially if it is something else. I have checked the loom and checked all the connections that I can. Still if it is just the PCB then it will still be cheaper than a new washing machine – just 😕
