Hi guys, first of all i have searched the forum for some help on this, but thought i would throw it out for some help, we have a WF250 hotpoint and a problem developed over the weekend, the machine starts up runs for 2-5 secs and then the on/off led flashes continuosly and the mini/load led comes on, but the machine gives off a growling sound, now others in forum have said it is a F01 proble (triac), but being a little technical myself, it sounds to me like a motor problem, another thing, i know one person said indesit do a repair forΒ£99.99 but we cannot find reciept, and shop we purchased from has gone. any help appreciated

itll be the triac on the pcb… nearly always is… ony thing to vheck is the wires to and from the motor plug

you dont need a reciept, the serial number will dictate its date

Ok ta, was hoping it not πŸ™ one thing tho after removing rear inspection plate and checking the wires and contacts, tried machine again and same thing happened, but the growling and vibration comes from pump at lower corner, rear of machine, have checked it is not seized at all.

on further investigation i removed the pcb board, and on inspection i can see burn or overheat damage on the board, so looks like the pcb is up the spout, the cost of these boards is stupid money, so looks like the machine gonna have to go to scrapyard in the sky πŸ™

for the cost of a triac, I’d be tempted to take the advice of the professionals on this board and try it πŸ™‚
