Thursday 25th is the official end of the contract between MFI and their present work provider. The work provider gave notice to MFI and as you are aware MFI have quietly been establishing links with service companies to form their own network supporting their own engineers.Good luck to all involved.

However the cloud on the horizon is the work provider who gave notice on 12,000 jobs a year is threatening Legal action on any of his agents who take any MFI work and to remove them from the network.

I trust anyone bullied in this way will make it public on these pages so that an organised response can be made.

How is it best to describe that move from the work provider I wonder, childish, bullish, stupid, provocative or just plain old nasty vindictive.

Or perhaps all of the above! 😉

Personally I’m well glad to be shot of them if they’re going to behave like that and throw their toys from the pram every time someone says or does something that doesn’t suit them.

Were it me I’d remind them who’s name was on the letterhead and who runs *MY* company, and it’s not some jumped up accountant that doesn’t know the first thing about service!

Re Ken’s last para – Interestingly, thats exactly what I said to MFI when they came to visit – My logo, my company, my name, the buck stops under my chair. That caused a laugh from the reasonable and realistic MFI team. Its nice to deal with non bullsh***s for a change.

I have to say that, thus far, I’m most impressed and pleased to be working directly with MFI (I prefer to work direct mostly anyway, far better IMO) as the team there seem realistic and down to earth. They seem very keen to listen and help in any way that they can and I have to hand that to them.

What is most surprising is the stark difference between working with MFI and having to work through a third party, the relationship is *FAR, FAR* better than ever it was as many of the so-called problems simply do not exist on a direct basis. I’ve had answers to reports and questions in minutes or hours instead of days and weeks just as an example!

Much of the admin hassles have been removed as well which is great, we can get on with what we’re good at as opposed to fluffing figures etc. and that is, providing service.
