    Hi folks,

    We’re currently in the process of getting a new kitchen and are looking into the different sorts of appliances/brands. We are after a built in oven and as gas is not really an option, are looking at electric. We’ve had a look at brochures from siemens and neff. The thing is neff are seemingly recommended by everyone, yet opinions on siemens are difficult to find. What are the pros/cons of each brand?

    Also, what are the differences between getting a double oven or a single (besides the obvious!) There are so many more to chose from in the singles and that we are now considering getting a combi/micro and a single.

    tbh, same things, but siemens is a step up

    neff are as good as they get.. well worth the money

    so it’s really a matter of styling and looks? I have noticed that siemens is a bit pricier and is less commonly available. Is there an issue with repairs and parts? It’s just that we do have a siemens dishwasher and quite like the matching oven, now we are after one. Just wondering if we should pay a bit extra or stick with the more popular neff.

    Also, are single ovens more reiable and generally better than double? We were thinking originally of a double, but having seen how much more popular single ovens are, may go for one instead and get the matching combi/micro.

    Hi

    Siemens as helo says is a step up, while you will pay a higher price you normally get a five year warranty and a slightly higher spec as opposed to the usual Bosch/ neff two year. Each of the brands has it`s own identity however when it comes to service it would be the same engineer that calls irrespective of the brand purchased.

    We went for the single oven / combo microwave a couple of years ago in Neff and have been pleased so far.
