The timer on this one supplies power to the heater for one minute then moves on. Wiring loom intact. Which stat/device holds the timer still till temp is reached? is it normally closed or normally open? EMW have no timers left (514611).

Unsure but cust seems to think that it is not pumping out quick enough as well.

TBH I don’t think it’s a stat fault but more of a timer issue and that due to its age it could show signs of burnt heater terminals within?

Anyway on the stat front, the one situated front left is the temperature stat and the one on the r/hand/side is the 85 degree overheat stat. If the temp stat fails it will still continue to heat until the overheat cuts the supply. Once it cools then it switches back on and so on. So on that logic maybe the front stat is a suspect, apart from the timer that is?

I believe both stats are normally closed BTW. 😉

    HTH?

I had a n/c stat opening far too early on a dw (albeit a WHP) once. Crushed the old stat after replacement and found the contact inside all corroded and not being held closed like it should. Should be cheaper than a timer. I’d clip meter leads across stat whilst operating heater and see what happens. Especially if you’re going back to remove timer anyway.
