I have had all sorts of vaccum cleaners over the last 30 years I suppose the cheaper end out of places like comet etc, had a dyson and various other makes. I cant say there are any of them I would shout about. For the last few years we have had a dog and dog hairs are a problem.
I have thought about a kirby as they do have some good write ups, but as you know also expensive.
Is there an equivelent that would do a decent job of lifting dog hairs or would any of you guys actually recommend a kirby.
Normal size 3 bed house and just the 2 of us living in it + dog.
Probably wouldn`t use whatever attchments are available, as we use a small cleaner for doing edges etc.

    thanks

Kirbys do not clean half as well as Sebo Automatic X upright cleaners. Sebos are a lot cheaper and remove embedded grit from the carpet and there by extending its life considerably. Also shift pet hair with ease!! 🙂

These are the only vacs I recommend for carpets, and I am a carpet cleaner and have tested and tried the lot, got commercial Sebos for my own house. 😉

Many moons ago I started training to be a Kirby salesman. After 2 days I left. They had some good features, like having a power take off for things like drills etc, but there sales techniques, prices and performance left a lot to be desired.
