    Help!!

I know there has been a previous subject about this machine and i beleive this to be the same problem…

I ran the machine sat morning and on the spin..it made a bang bang bang!! The light etc was still on and 2 mins later the door unlocked, to an almost water filled machine and soggy washing!!

When trying to spin again, the light comes on, the door locks and nothing. I turn the dial to the end again, and 2 mins later the door unlocks.

The other post was clearly someone with knowledge and i am just looking for help in general washing machine operators language lol

Can this be repaired ( as I have heard this make of machines have a general prob) and is it simple to do, even by an engineer or am I better just to source a newbie!!

I desperately need my washine machine 😥

OK – Piece of paper out, line drawn down the middle – For at one side of the line, against at the other –
Washing machine was made by Antonio Merloni (Servis) for MFI, both have gone bust. This makes spares difficult but not impossible to source.
Likely to be either a motor fault, or a electronic PCB fault caused by a leakage of water or general failure of both. Electronic boards are available or can be refurbished. Motors are much more difficult to come by and will cost in excess of £150, PCB likely to be 85+ new. You will need an engineer to come out and look at it. So once you have put the items in the columns perhaps you will conclude that a new machine is more cost effective or not ❓

Whereabouts are you life-is-good ? May be able to help you once I bottom the problem with mine this week ?

I feel I’m not a million miles away with mine now, just waiting on some more of Penguin45’s great knowledge and I think it’s possible to repair. The problem’s not motor on mine, and there’s no water damage. The issue is no fill, therefore the logic won’t let the machine continue through it’s cycle.

    hi mike,

We are in sunny scotland… Glasgow

The machine once pulled out had water all over the inside wiring etc and took it the other guy was correct, with water damage. contacted another engineer who agrred with this other chap, that may be better to purchase new, however new machine now ordered and they connect then collect the old one!! ( I never really liked the diplomat anyway) lol

by all means if your in and around glasgow and requiring a machine for spares…. its here!!

Miles away bud, but appreciate the offer-shame, as I’d have took it too for spares. Saves it ending up in the tip. It does sound terminal by the sounds of things yes – sorry to hear it.

I can’t really afford a new machine, and I think mine’s plenty fixable so I’m gonna struggle forward with it, thanks to help on here I think it’s possible.

    Cheers,

    Mike
