ParticipantHi folks
Had some trouble with not so long ago and perswaded landlady to have bottom cover panel fitted to this as there was access to the fan chamber from the front if the panel was not fitted (health and safty etc).
Tennant has now broken the push button mech that releases pannel and went yesterday to fit new mech.
Looks like you have to remove front panel to gain access to mech. Hoped it would be just remove a few screws and panel would drop out like w/m but looks like the control facia has to be removed as the panel looks like it has to come up to pull out the vent to condeser.
Failed the Bosch IQ test on how to remove the facia
Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to remove this or is there an easier way to get to push button mech?
Thanks
Mick

You can get exploded diagrams on e-shop. Go to http://www.boschcustomerservice.com and click on spare parts for Bosch.

Front fascia panel has to come off, remove side panels too then access is much easier. Do make careful note of how the latch mechanism is assembled before you remove it. Otherwise once it’s in bits it’s not obvious how to put it back together again. Also there’s a long screw hidden behind a plastic cover that has to be removed so take care to spot that! 🙂
During the whole procedure I find swearing in German helps. 😉

Thanks for the reply Martin.
Does the facia have to come off tho to remove the front panel and if so how does that come off and can you rember whereabouts the hidden screw is?
The mech looks like it is all in bits anyway because it is all pushed in so looks like I’ll have another IQ test there then 😥

Fascia off first then you have access to plastic front panel where the screw is hidden behind a cap. Take the side panels off too. It’s all a flippin’ fiddle but each stage remember, no force required!
Take a close look at the release mechanism before taking it off…good luck!

I think he wants to know how the facia comes off, Martin.
I dont know for certain but a lot of Bosch facias are just pull/prise off as they are atached by spring clips.September 12, 2009 at 9:24 am #296679MickGeorge

Thought it might be a prise off job as there was nothing obvious but didnt want to start prising and semi forcing where i didnt need to.
Thanks again
