    We have a Eurolec DW-004 Dishwasher the door used to come down gently most of the way then stop and you could then fully open it.
    There was a clunk and now the door opens fully and it is heavy.
    Is there somekind of brake on the door which has now ceased to work??
    How do we fix it??

    You’re going to have to get the side panels off and have a look. This machine uses a metal strap attached to a spring to counterbalance the door. The strap, it’s link or the spring may have failed.

    Power off first and be very aware of sharp edges in the machine.

    Many thanks for prompt reply, machine is built in so I will have ago at pulling it out.
