    Hi,

One is trying to repair a Bosch dishwasher typS10R1B E No: SGS4012GB/13

Initially, the machine didn’t appear to be letting water in so I checked all the external possible causes. All o.k.

Then checked the inlet valve, which gave a good ohms reading so took off side panels and cleaned out air brake/matrix/hoses and re-assembled.

Tested machine, and it seemed fine. However, quickly became apparent all was not well. When switched on a buzzing/humming noise evident from circulation pump/motor area, and nothing happening!

Carried out electrical insulation test again – fine, so stripped machine down to investigate.

There is nothing obviously causing fault. Wondering if motor capacitor could cause this?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Kind regards,

Machine shouild fill to halfway up the salt cap. With the power off, check that the motor is free to turn with slight resistance. If it’s free to turn, the motor capacitor will almost certainlt be the culprit.

    Thanks Penguin45,

Will try new capacitor, and provide feedback.

    Re: Bosch dishwasher

    Good evening,

Tested capacitor, and it was fine.
    Re-assembled everything, and re-tested. All o.k. now!
Appears that there is an intermittent problem somewhere… goodness knows where though!

    Back to the drawing board….
