I have an AEG Lavamat Turbo 16830 for over 1 year now and I think something might be wrong with it as I can’t now get it to run any cycle. There are no error numbers showing but what happens is I select a cycle, it starts then the machine briefly starts to fill and then it stops and all the programme progress display lights come on red. It stays stuck in this position then I try turn and turn it off and on again and nothing happens? The only thing i’ve done differently that I can think has had an impact is that I ran the dryer this morning and then while the machine was still warm tried to do a wash, maybe this has done something to it?

Well, it could be the main control board but it is just as likely to be that the dry heater insulation has dropped below 10 MegOhms which causes the program to abort. You will need to isolate the product from the mains electrical supply & disconnect the wires from the dry heater element which is housed in the duct above the tub & using an insulation meter i.e Meggar, test the dry heaters insulation. If it is below 10 MegOhms, that is most likely your fault right there.
