Integrated Ariston Fridge Freezer is not cold enough!

Hi all,

Model: Ariston OK-RF 3100L

It appears that after 9 nine years of faultless service the fridge compartment is beginning to fail. Despite being set to max on the thermostat the fridge struggles to keep milk from going off yet the freezer compartment seems to be fine.

There is a small build up of ice in the bottom right hand corner of the fridge but nothing substantial, it was defrosted about a month ago and the problem was brought to my attention last week from a tenant who now resides in my flat.

There are also no strange buzzing or clonking noises to report.

From my completely untrained eye I can see that the door doesn’t seal with quite as much vigor or magnetic force as it once did but it does still shut.

I would be grateful if someone could offer some advice or perhaps even recommend someone in the E1 region of London – I’ve filled in the ‘find an engineer’ section but I’m yet to hear a reply.

I guess what I need to decide now is whether to gamble on the cost of a call out from an engineer and subsequent labour or just front the cash for a replacement as of now. Without much choice I have found this which is pretty much all I can afford right now, anything to report, good or bad?
