Evaporator iced up. De-frost heater OK, cut-outs OK, has anybody got any clues why this happens, does anybody have a wiring diagram please.

Most likely the NTC temperature sensor has gone out of calibration. This happens when they absorb moisture & this causes the defrost cycle to be suspended, hence the excessive frost build up on the evaporator. The only thing other than that I can think of if you are correct in that the other components are OK is the main control board but I think this unlikely.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Always possible but not likely. I have had this on more than one occasion & it’s usually the NTC.

Thankyou for your replies, I’ll go for the thermistor (NTC), thanks again.
