    I have the above upright fridge frrezer.
    In the fridge there is ice droplets on the back wall and on the bottom shelf I get ice blocks approx 2inch round if anything touches the wall such as tins

    Tried turning the setting down to 1 or 2 but still the same
    what causes this ?

    The rear of the fridge area when running is at about -20C although the air temperature is between 2-8C. If things are pushed against the back wall when the appliance goes into defrost mode water will congregate on whatever is resting there. Subsequently, when the appliance goes to normal operation this will freeze. One the issue of droplets on the back this is normal, this appliance has a timed defrost and sometimes is unable to clear the rear in the time allocated – usually clears it the next defrost cycle.     Sorry for the delay getting back to you.
    Thanks for the suggestion and explanation
    I will pull the appliance further away from the wall and see if this improves the performance

    Sorry you have misunderstood my explanation – when I was talking about the back wall I actually meant the internal back wall of the refrigerator ie inside the fridge. If items of food touch this wall they will freeze. Hope that clarifies the query.

    Hmmm
    surely this can not be how a fridge is supposed to operate ?
    partially frozen cooked meats etc because they get pushed to the back ?
    How can this appliance be classed as a fridge if it freezes items within it because they “touch” the back wall ?

    I think if you look you will see that there is a ridge on the back of the shelves that is supposed to stop this happening, secondly it is mentioned in the handbook. Seriously, you cannot expect the manufacturer to be held responsible for the way you stack your fridge.
