    on all hotpoint aquarius and 9 series, when fitting a new spider (drum support) grease the shaft or it will squeak like hell.


    i am ex-hotpoint, left there this year and i was suprised how many engineers there didnt know this.

    may i add that on new wm washers we had loads of probs this year where the drum squeaked like mice…… engineers would change the bearing seal and the spider and 6 weeks down the line it would squeak again because they never put grease on t’shaft!


    so watch out!
