ParticipantHotpoint DWM75A dishwasher. 20702914. 37297970000. Nicknamed – “Christine”. 😉
Runs through the 24 minute quick cycle and throws up A10. (heater circuit fault). New heater fitted 12 months ago; checks out fine. All wiring tests OK. No earth problems found.
Ok, must be the Bit 100 PCB unit! New one fitted this evening.24 minute cycle selected for test. Machine fills, washes, heats perfectly. Then the display sticks at “4 minutes” for about 5 minutes. Machine has heated; but it remains on “4”. Then suddenly, it drains and stops with AL10 on the display. 😕
I pressed and held the reset button and it cleared the display. I then switched it off by pressing the large on / off button. Display turns off.
Shut the door. The machine starts to fill and wash with the computer switched off!! After a few minutes, it had to be turned off at the mains to stop it!! I’m thinking that this machine is made from the recycled metal from the demon car in the film “Christine” as it will not stop and has a mind of it’s own.
The customer says that it does this periodically; starts for no reason when it’s off. So the PCB swap made no difference. As far as I can see, the other PCB is the display board only. (am I right?).I can’t think what else it could be…….any ideas? A priest maybe??
