    I need some help please, Hotpoint BD32B oven blew an element, replaced that turned it on and nothing happened, checked the thermostats and there all working, the grills working and the fan and the lights just no power to the element, i’m getting 23 ohms reading on the element so i know thats working ok, i’m compleatly stumped, any help would be much apprieciated

    Maybe the overheat/safety stat on the top (next to the cooling fan) has blown?

    timer on auto or blown

    i’ve checked the stats there all fine, and the timer is working too, could it be the selector switch, thats the only thing left but i’m not sure how to test it, thanks for your help though guys

    Probably best to look at the selector switch contacts.

    thanks for your help guys, it was the selector switch, replaced part now my mother in law can have a hot dinner, what a first job as an independant, the mother in laws cooker
