Can anybody provide details of Invoices/Receipts they give to clients.
I`m trying to locate paper ones for our industry showing Electrical Safety results etc similar to ones used by ServiceForce etc.
Or
Do independents just use free general online templates

dont know about anyone else but i avoid giving reciept like the plague
if i give them out have to keep copies for 7 years for revenue
if they want a reciept i have a rubber stamp and it is a cash reciept only single copy no duplicate
i have official invoices for bigger clients but no test data just job done dates and price
i keep record cards for jobs so i know whats been done for guarentee puposes etc

I pay a printer to do me several thousand A5 NCR receipts with all my details on. (£100 or so for 5 thousand).
It not only looks more professional, but also act as latent advertising. Customers keep the receipt, and therefore always have my number to hand.I’ve gone back to plenty of cpeople who have had one of my receipts from six or seven years ago, and have said they were glad they’d kept it as that was how they found my number again.
As for invoicing the bigger clients, I use the free version of Microsoft Office Accounting. It’s not too bad to set up, just a bit fiddly. But it’s good enough for what I do.

I run the free office accounting as well.
I guess its just me being over cautious.
I PAT test every appliance after work to current Code Of Practice guidelines and have C&G 2377 PAT certificate.
So I want a paper copy signed by clients showing test results along with job details, cost etc etc to compliment the excellent work and high labour charge 😆 .
Do any of the Contractors working for say DeLonghi etc use there own or is it all PC based ?
