Hi, my hotpoint aquarius dishwasher has been stored for a very short time in my garage (2 weeks) while I waited for a friend to help me take out the old integrated DW in the house I’ve just bought. The Hotpoint is now filling into the base but not washing, the ECO45 light comes on.

I read on here somewhere that mice can eat the rubber tubes insude dishwashers and I am wondering if this has happened while in my garage (it’s the pre-fab type, not a brick one, so highly likely there are mice). WHen I tip the machine to drain the base I get some small black bits of rubber flooding out. If this is the case, is it worth repairing? Can I use the hotpoint “repair for £99” service?

Any advice appreciated. Would prefer to repair as it matches my washing machine, but don’t want to waste money. Thanks for any advice.

If its just the hoses that the mice have attacked then calling out a local independent may be a cheaper option, parts are unlikely to be very expensive and with labour would almost certainly be less in total than the Indesit Companies £99.85 charge.
