    Hi all,

This is my first post, so please be gentle!

I’m (hopefully) moving into my first house next month and as a first-time buyer I’m on a limited budget.

I’m now pricing up my whitegoods and am looking for suggestions for quality, value for money frost-free fridge freezers. Ideally no taller than 185cm, happy with white, and preferrably a 60/40 split as I do a lot of cooking and like to freeze portions of what I make.

Ideally I would just go Miele/Liebherr, but sadly the budget does not quote stretch that far! (I’ve also got to buy a new w/machine, oven and hob too!).

Can anyone point me in the direction of a value for money piece that might suit my needs and not keel over within two years or give me food poisoning? 😀

    Many thanks,

    C

Have a look at Bosch or Gorenje which are in you range and also have a two years parts and labour warranty.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the tip-off!

I’ve not heard of Gorenje before but I’ve definitely heard of Bosch.

How much should I expect to pay – is there a ‘lower limit’ beyond which everything is ust a little bit rubbish?

    Thanks again

bosch will be expensive – £400 and a lot more upwards for a f/s 170+ f/f which isnt frostfree

gorenje is about the same price bracket, but you will tend to get a bit mroe room with their models.

one thing that hasnt been brought up that is wuite important is your width restriction, fridge freezers now come in 3 main widths, 48-50cm, 54-55cm, and 59.5-62.5cm

out of interest what is your maximum width available? because if it is under 59cm, it will drastically reduce your choice!
