ParticipantOn off , dry and lights 1 to 4 fast blinking, not normal fault code speed. Does this from plug in, can’t reset or anything. Getting a board from EMW tomorrow but anyone else had this one. And we all thought the old 99s were prone to breakdowns 😉

I still remember thinking the 95 series were rubbish. Jim probably remembers thinking the 18000 series were junk. 😆

ParticipantHave exactly the same problem this morning on a WD440G. As soon as mains voltage is applied to the machine lights 1 thru 4 plus dryer plus power light start flashing 3 to 4 times per second and the machine controls are not usable.
Did this turn out to be the main PCB in the base?

Mike.I called to a Hotpoint washing machine the other day that was 24 years old! I don’t think the WMA’s from 2002 were that bad, a lot better than the newer WF’s, WD’s.

Mike.Best Hotpoint machines,
Wringer machine. CK Empress with BTH motor.
Twin tub. last edition of the 1400, possibly mk 5.
Automatic top loader. 1502 top loader with Controls Company timer.
Automatic front loader.. hard to say. We thought every one was awful, until the next one.
I remember going to a customer in Shaw with an 1850 machine, she complained like mad about how bad it was, TBH she did have a few early problems, had to fit a new motor to replace an awful EMD motor. I went to put a pump on it last week, still going strong 30 years later.
I still have many hundreds of 20 to 25 year old 95 series machines out there and several 1800 series machines all in perfect working order.
Jim.
