ParticipantI have a customer with one of these cookers with a failed fan element.
After phoning their spares department I was cheeky and asked for their service manager to ask if they were looking for direct agents. Apparently they do have some employed engineers and also use the Service Force network. Does anyone know if the element part number SP-1A45834 is the same as something else ?
Thanks.

They also seem to be tied in with Majestic.

KeymasterRe: Britannia Cookers
It looks vey simular to a zanussi element,If you can get the element out you should be able to match it quite easily if its not the same as the zanussi 3 turn one

Thanks Bryan.
As they want around £45 for the ‘genuine’ element, I’ll encourage the customer to remove the old one, or book us to go and do it for them 😉

For my sins, I was that Service Manager!!
All ” Britannia” cooker elements are made by Zoppas (Zanussi).
In most cases a Zanussi element will fit whichever element has gone or has distorted.
A Majestic cooker is identical internally to a Britannia except that it has auto-reignition on the hob burners.
Britannia have seven of their own engineers around the country looking after around 50,000 units.
Serviceforce were brought in at the beginning of 2004 to look after calls in areas with only a few appliances or areas where a Britannia engineer would need to travel in excess of 2 hrs from his home base.
All Britannia cookers are manufactured by ILVE in Italy and are badged. We are happy to supply any tech info on their products and are ” Factory Approved” service agents.
