Hi all got an old bosch dishwasher sms4472 gb /20 will not take any water . I tested the valve and when it is supossed to start taking water in ,nothing ,dead ,no power getting to the water valve. The valve itself tests ok just not getting any power down to it,any ideas ? thanks. Oh by the way ive tested the micro switch on the metering tank and seems fine.
Checked the wires in the door and are ok. If you turn the program dial it seems to do everything drain pump works wash pump ok etc. Start any program drain pump kicks in then moves to fill part and nothing totally dead, no power getting to water valve.
I have had a load with the loom in door but also a similar fault with no wash motor action or voltage and it was the timer, replaced that and it was fine.
1/ Worth checking the microswitch in water tank on lhs for correct operation of contacts (with power off and ohm meter)
2/ Have had the pcb in fascia (economy 7 timer) fail also.
I’ll agree with Jon. IF memory serves me right you can bypass the small delay pcb. It’s been a while since i have had to do it but I’m sure there are two wires of the same size and colour, if you short them out the m/c will fill passing the time delay pcb. Obviously proceed with caution but its fairly logical when you look at the wires
