    Hi Folks

Can anyone tell me what speed this m/c is supose to spin at? I know a lot of manifactures mod no relate to spin speed so would suspect this should spin at 1600 but cust lost inst book and nothing marked on m/c

Looks like it runs ok n runs thru 3 spin speeds on long spin – what looks like 500, 800, and 1000 – but cust complaining about poor spin.

She does use on priog with short spin n looks like she overloads m/c (crammed m/c full to bursting when i asked for a load to test :rolls: ) so that could be prob but said she had been washing like that for ages :rolls:

But if m/c not spinning at right speed that also might acount for poor spin.

If this is spinnig to slow has anyone come across this before on these m/c – Am I looking motor/module or timer as the more prob fault?

Checked for broken wires at motor block, module timer connections n all looks ok but didn’t have time/inclination to get m/c out to test motor field windings propley as looks like it will be new m/c if needs any major part – but did tell her I would get back to her about speed.

    Comments appreciated

    Thanks

    Mick

Doing a bit of Googling reveals a WMA1614 to be a 1400 rpm machine, perhaps yours is a 1300 rpm. ❓

Thanks Jim – never thought about googling 😳

Certainly not spinning at 1300/1400 more like 1000 so sounds like that might be the prob.

Anyone had this on these m/c and most likely cause?

    Thanks

She shouldn’t overload it to the extent whereby she cannot put her hand between the underside of the drum cylinder & top of the laundry with her thumb pointed upwards. That would not only impede the spin but most likely give a poor wash.

Re: Beko WMA1613S – spin speed?

Thanks for the reply “Spin” – have explained all that to her but looks like the m/c is not reaching 1200/1300 speed as didn’t spin more that about 1000.

Just wondered if anyone come across this on these m/c before and what caused it.

I know from other m/c that it could be the 1200 field winding o/c, module or timer – just wondered if there was one specific that it was most likely to be on a Beko m/c.

Most common fault i have found for this prob on other m/c has been a broken wire at the motor term block but checked this and all ok.

    Thanks

To be honest, in my experience any weird fault like that is usually attributed to the main board. They are pretty crap really.

Thanks “Spin” – that would have been my first port of call but doubtfull if she will spend any money on m/c as it’s “3 years old so probly due for a new one” !!! :rolls:

    Thanks for relplies folks

The machine is a pig for out of balance and will reduce the spin speed. Try with 3 large towels in if it spins ok then customer is more than likely overloading.

Been back in touch with customer and since I’ve been she has been using program with long spin at the end and say’s that it is even better than before!. So she is quite happy to use on that. :rolls:

    thanks for the replies folks
