Please help me!! I have an american fridge freezer that DOESN’T have the ice making facilities. Recently the fast freeze button on the front has been illuminating on it’s own and obviousley with this comes the beeping noise, it isn’t just doing this intermitantly it is constant day and night and is driving us mad! it is also causing the freezer to frost up even though it is frost free. I have checked the cooling outlets in the back of the freezer to see if they are iced up, which they are not. Can anybody help me please.

Model number will encourage those who may be able to help.
In the meantime unload freezer and switch off for a minimum of 24 hours with doors open to allow the ice to melt,not just what you can see, there will be a build up behind the freezer panel.
It may happen again,could be an electricl fault/failure of a part, if so you will need a meter and enough knowledge to be able to test components.
