Hi im about to order a shaft bearing kit for this machine but there is also a copper strip there when i’ve took the old stuff off. Im presuming its an earth strip of somekind and am definetly gonna need one too? How does this sit (any got a diagram), does it just lie across the end of the shaft under the plastic cover or actually need to go between the collar and support bracket.

    thank you 🙂

The replacement bearing in the shaft kit is phosphour bronze and is therefore conductive, rendering the copper wiper unneccessary. It is no longer fitted to current production machines.

only if your machine has teardrop bearing, then its ok to leave off the copper strip 😀
