ParticipantWhirlypool built in job. Starts programme and once into motor action (but anytime during the programme), the motor starts to stutter for anything from a few seconds to a minute or two, then aborts and brings up code 2,
water leakage. Definately not a motor fault as it seems to be the power stuttering to it. Machine has hardly been used since install (internal packaging removed for current tennant who says its been iffy since day 1)
so I wouldn’t have thought pressure system blockage. 😕
I saw it happen a couple of times then it worked fine for 30 minutes where i called it a day. OH I hate these intermmittent buggers, why do they all come in the same week. 👿TC

Had similar on one today , and it was the fine gauze filters blocked ( but not obviously until you held up to light ) and this was affecting the OWI .

Have finally been able to get another look at this. Changed p/switch and checked filters etc are all clean, still the same. What I did notice this time with the decor door off is that the board is clicking quite heavily like a relay or suchlike and it did it this time when the dispenser solenoid was operating, which pulsed as well. Tried to do a visual on the board but the casing is held togethar with the tiniest torq screws ever.
Pretty sure its a board fault cos I can’t see anything else as suspect.TC

The PCB may cut the power to the motor due to sensing lack of water in the sump. When the wash pump picks up the water to spray around, the OWI will notice the drop in level and the machine should fill again until there is enough water in the sump and enough ‘in the air’ to satisfy the OWI.
I would be looking at the flowmeter in the water chamber behind the left hand panel. Oxidised connections and poor fitting wiring plugs are common. The code 2 could be displayed as the board is finding an incorrect water level for that position in the cycle and assumes leakage is the cause.Just a thought….hope that helps,
Steve.

The juddering is so random though and it isn’t bringing more water in whilst it does it. Sometimes its a second or two apart others its twice a second or so AND intermittent 👿 . There’s no leaking, or signs of it at all, but if there was wouldn’t it be a second or two of filling to ‘top up’.
OHHH my head hurts.
Thanks for input though 😉 .TC

BTW the OWI. Where is it, I thought this machine had a microswitch type pressure switch, big black twist fit grid, or is that it .

This one is doing my head in now. Apart from an access problem (prison officer on shifts :rolls: ) the calls are so far apart I have to start from scratch every time to remember what I was doing.
Anyways up.. I have ordered a new board for this and when fitted won’t even start a programme. The connections though labelled on the case are in different position to the old one so a bit concerned Connect may have sent the wrong one. Board is 481221838.
The programme indicator shows the first (from left)led and when I press start and close the door just get three bleeps with the start light flashing constantly.
Does this board need to be programmed, is it the right board, did I have a bad Friday 😥TC

You should have board 4812 218 38392, which is the configured one.

Configured thats what I meant to write 😳
BTW looking at the box again the Whirlpool label has 481221838584 and the Connect label (which I read originally) is 481221838 and then 347.
Unconfigured version maybe?TC
