We have a Bosch dishwasher SGS5302GB/07 showing an F in the single display which normally shows either wash progress or time delay. Although we have done all sorts of faults on these models, they have never displayed a error or fault at all. Anyone know what it indicates?
    Thanks in advance.

Usually a filling fault. Check the tube than runs from the float chamber to the tub, they get blocked with fat and gunge.

Thanks for that Martin, but I dont think its that simple as the machine fills and washes okish. We are fitting a new board Friday so i will find out then!

    pcb/module fitted, fault gone.

    Result then Mark 😀

The joys of PCB controlled appliances that create condensation and create heat, good idea 😯

Yeah, but this dishwasher type has been around for 6 odd years now and, apart from re soldering the heater relay and changing the outer casing of the module, I have never had a failure before… till last week when we had this one (showing F) and a completely dead one.
I sent the dead one to QER but it was returned unable to repair…something that has happenned all to regularly lately which causes a delay it getting back to the customer as we then have to order a new one. I am not sure I will send them any anymore, its just a waste of time and postage costs.
anyone one else finding this with QER or is it just bad run of luck fo me?

No, I found the same with many of the “new” control units. It seems they are OK with motor control modules and microwave pcb’s. But, as they have informed me, many of the recent pcb’s that are the complete control type have hybrid IC’s that are impossible to source. 😥

“F” in display is “water intake period exceeded” as Martin wrote, and it tells customer in instruction manual how to reset and clear fault code

True, but this wouldnt re set and, as said above, was only cured by a new pcb. Thanks for the input though.

    Hi

I dont know if this subject is too old now but I had a bosch dishwasher last week where a transistor had blown on the pcb. Usually it has problems with the heater relay tags burning out as someone mentioned earlier. Sometimes that takes out the chip. But in this case the relay is fine and I figure all it needs is a new relay, maybe.

I was wondering if anybody had a similar problem ?

    Yes today oddly enough 😯

Problem solved by resoldering the dry joints on the relay pins 😀

    Hi

No, I know about the relay pins, in fact it is a better job if you solder a wire link across the relay terminals as the pcb is not man enough to cope from each terminal.

In my case it is the tranny that has blown away from the relay trouble. As you look green side at the pcb it is in the lhand corner. Just blown up!

Why? Has anyone had That problem I was wondering.?
