ParticipantHi
Have been trying to open the pump cap, but won’t turn more than a 1/4turn. Tried to use some pliers and that ended up braking the plastic turning handle 🙁
Is there another way to get this open?? Should I just smash it open and then replace with a new cap? Many thanks in advance for your help.

Probably something like a nail or bra wire stopping it turning. Best bet would be to remove the complete pump/filter assembly from the machine, detach the pump itself and remove the obstruction from the pump end of the housing. You may need to remove the cabinet front to get adequate access. As always, plug out before any dismantling.

Hi Phidom
Thanks for the reply. Was thinking would it be easier to break the cap, now that the handles broken anyway, then remove obstruction? Then replace the cap? Is it easier to access the pump from the back or the front of the machine?
Appreciate your thoughts?
Thanks

Moved new post to original thread 😉 , it`s easier for the engineers to be able to see the whole story and answer accordingly.

I posted a topic earlier, about not being able to remove the cap. I’ve undone the back and accessed the pump that way. I undid a screw and removed the motor looking part and not sure how to put it back on! I thought I had done it and when I put the machine back on, water started to leak from the pump part 😯
HELP 😕 🙁

You may well have to fit a new pump now Tanky.
You were advised to access the pump from the front by someone with many years of experience. 😉

Crisis averted! Managed to get the motor on properly this time…didn’t realised it clicked into place!
I did remove the front panel at the bottom, but didn’t have a lot of access to the pump to be honest.
Thanks for the advice!

You should have removed the whole of the front panel, it comes off quite easily. 😉
