Does anyone use these ? If so which one’s are the best value?

Until recently we have been using BP Bunker fuel cards, which if used at the right filling stations offer a slight discount on the pump price of diesel. The trouble now is, Texaco have bought all or most of the BP filling stations around this area and are refusing to accept the BP cards.

Which gives me cause to change the cards or the way we purchase fuel, any thoughts ? I know this is slightly regional as some companies are not national.

We used to use them but with changes in the industry we found, as you have, that they were too restrictive to be of any real use. That was Shell Gold Cards IIRC.

If there was one I could get that we could use at a large percentage of filling stations I’d probably use them again as it’s a hell of a lot less hassle and far easier to manage than messing about with cash and all that malarky.

Anyone got any ideas? Or is there enough interest in it to try to get a deal nationally for individual UKW members?

    Re: Fuel Cards

We use Bayford fuels, seen as diesel direct outside of garages. The price you pay is set all over the country as the same rate and is competitive.

You may find the outlets a bit thin on the ground in some areas, but if the engineer cares to look at his dials and see when he is getting low, then he should be able to manage. (easier said than done)

    Re: Fuel Cards

Hi dave, we use ESSO cards, excellent reporting and you can tailor the card to engineer or reg no. or both, also allowing for more than fuel ie shop purchases such as oil ,distilled water ect ect ,,,

not forgeting engineers fags and daily paper.

Excellent reports also for your accounts to keep a track, application form from any esso garage

    regards

    Thankyou all. 😀

I have contacted all of the above and Texaco as well, I’ll see which best suits our needs (and pockets 😉 ).
