What are peoples opinions on amercian fridge freezers? are they worth the money or does a normal upright fridge freezer do the job?
do they comprimise on space due to the water, ice dispenser or is it something you now can’t live without. Is it worth getting two seperate applainces?

Looking forward to hearing your responses 😀

Do you mean an ‘American fridge/freezer’ or an American ‘Style’ fridge/freezer ?

There is a very big difference. 😉

    Hi

Our guide to American fridge freezers here is a good place to start.

There have been issues with some of these over the last few years and samsung made it to Watchdog which can be read in the Refrigeration forum. To get a quality appliance you should be prepared to pay circa £1500 for something like a Maytag, Liebherr or GE.

For the best storage a good pair of seperates without the water and ice will give you improved storage and look just as good especially if one of the doors are reversed to give the “American” look.

A pair of Liebherr would be a good choice if budget allows or Bosch as a second choice.

    HTH 🙂
