Hello.My brothers been on the phone asking why his Flavel aspen 100 fan assisted oven/grill will not work.
Everything is completely dead on the left hand side .I have not looked at it .I dont do cookers.
But I said it could be the selector am I barking up the right tree. 😆Re: Flavel Aspen 100
Not enough to go on with the reference given. If it’s dead on one side only, I’d be looking for a microtemp or thermal cut-out in the live feed for the side that’s failed.

Thankyou Mr P. As Ive never seen inside one of them I guessed the fan would still work if its some sort of toc thats covering the elements had gone.That teaches me not to guess.Thanks again 😉

Usually these are quite common they have a thermal fuse attached at the rear…it looks like a normal wire but within that there is a resistir looking fuse attached and thse go all the time!!

its on the neutral… follow the wire from the terminal block up, and ull see it , half way up, theres a metal bracket holding it on place, and is covered with a red sheath

Just to make sure if you twist it together and then try it should work – but only as a temp measure DO NOT LEAVE !!

Just to update you on this. Micro temp had faild.I could not find a original part for this.
So had to get the magnifying glass out to get the reading off it and splice in a copy.
So big thankyou too Mr P ,The Jazzmeister,Lerchio, and last but not least Helo_75…… 😆
