Beko LC120 Fridge Freezing Over Drain Hole – Why?

Hi,

The fridge was dead and needed a stat.

I fitted a stat and now it keeps freezing over the drain hole and then
builds up into a big chunk of ice.

The drain hole is clear of any debris and water drains away if I pour water
into the hole. No icing up over the evaporator area takes place.

The stat used is Connect 5031682315378

Any pointers to the reason why would be appreciated.
