Well I’ve seen it all now.
I go to customer in August. Bearings shot and various other issues so pass her back to hotpoint. (5 years part warranty).
Hotpoint come out order parts and call back a week later. Machine repaired.
A week later machine noisier than ever. Hotpoint come out again and say they need an outer tub assy. A week later two Hotpoint guys come out with tub and say its fixed.
Four weeks on and the customer phones me to say she’s still not happy with noise. I go out today to find the machine is completely missing an upper concrete weight and all that remains of the bolts are in the threaded part of the tub.
I know the tub hasn’t been replaced because its still got my silicone around the heater stud bolt from a repair i did two years ago.
God help Hotpoint, the customer was on the phone to them before I had left.

Ebay.
I certain repair agent found out that the parts there engineer was supposed to be fitting were being sold on various sites.
Although a clever fiddle was caught as the idiot was using his name in the contact e-mail address.
Warning sign if your guys are ordering more than 1 part per repair and stating they`ve fitted all the others on every job they go to, check Ebay. :rolls:
